Lauren joined our team in 2019 as an Associate Photographer but found herself, as we semi-joke, doing all the things! Her role has developed into our Operations Director and Lead Editor, but she’s a creative at heart and passionate about helping our clients tell their story through beautiful imagery. Whether it’s scoping out shoots, being our team’s client liaison, or ensuring edits get turned around quickly, Lauren is instrumental in helping achieve our team’s and our client’s goals.

She’s recently moved to Colorado and in her free time, you can find her exploring the mountains or hitting the slopes.

Prior to moving to DC in 2023, Jamie had spent most of her life in Upstate NY, where the dramatic changes in the seasons sparked her love for capturing the scenery. This lead her to major in biology and minor in photography, using photography as a tool to document life around her. Her experience working in the event and wedding industries showed her how much depth and meaning can be captured in photos when working with people. She loves the challenge of photographing new subjects and exploring different locations, discovering beauty in unexpected places.

In her free time, Jamie enjoys traveling and hopes to one day visit every National Park.

“My dream shoot would be to photograph a sustainable brand surrounded by the environment it aims to protect!”

Over the last 10+ years Laura Metzler has earned a role as the trusted “go to” photographer for up and coming DC designers and independent brands. She has had the privilege of shooting with some of the most noted brands, designers and creatives in the area, including Blue Mercury, Toll Brothers and Shannon Claire Interiors.

Laura now leads the creative team at Laura Metzler Photography providing clients with full-service photography solutions, with concentrations in branding, interiors, and product photography. Laura is also the owner of Fostr Collaborative, a rentable studio in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC.

As Laura Metzler Photography expands, Laura’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for working with business owners to further exciting brands continues to motivate and inform all her endeavors and client interactions. When Laura is not shooting with clients she enjoys renovating and redecorating her new home in northern Virginia with her husband and two young sons. (You can follow along their journey on Instagram) Laura also loves to travel and photograph gorgeous locations, many of which are featured in her print shop.

Laura’s dream shoot is photographing a home furnishings catalog. (CB2, can you hear me?) Getting to mix interiors and product photography is definitely “the stuff”.

Jess was first introduced to photography during her time living in Hong Kong. Thrown into this new and unfamiliar place, she would spend any and all her free time roaming the city, neighborhoods, and islands, itching to make photos and document the life and culture around her.⁠⁠ Jess is especially captivated by the emotional aspect of photography, how the combination of color, composition, light, and a moment frozen in time can convey so much.

Outside of photography, she’s always looking for the next adventure or crazy thing to do and has a deep forever love of wine.

”Traveling the world documenting unique cultures around the world. I would especially love to revisit India with a camera in hand.”

Born and raised in Tampa, FL. Kristen moved to DC in 2014 and has been working in the bustling event planning and styling industry since 2018! Kristen is essential in prop sourcing and ensuring all aspects of the shoot come to life the way the client envisions.

⁠Kristen was a college swimmer and her friend's refer to her as the 'roadrunner' of the group because she is always running around and full of energy. We are all grateful to have her energy on our team!
